When He Asked Me to Stay for Her, I Chose Myself Chapter 08

When He Asked Me to Stay for Her, I Chose Myself Chapter 08

The class group chat was silent for a few seconds.

Then messages started appearing one after another.

[Wait… you guys didn’t break up?]

[LMAO Ethan, stop. Everyone’s seen you with Madison 24/7.]

Some people were shocked.

Others teased him.

[What are you all talking about?!]

[When did Vivian and I break up? Who told you that? Madison and I are just friends.]

Ethan became anxious.

[Come on. You two even slept in the same tent and saw each other naked. How can you still call that just friendship?]

[Don’t deny it. Madison already posted it on Instagram.]

Someone immediately sent the photo.

Ethan’s eyes widened.

He immediately denied it.

[I didn’t know about this. Madison, come out and explain yourself.]

But Madison replied:

[Ethan… are you really going to pretend we’re nothing? After

everything?]

The class group chat blew up again.

Everyone started mocking Ethan for doing something like this while refusing to admit it.

He was nothing but a cheating jerk.

Ethan froze.

He never expected Madison would do something like this to him.

But he didn’t have time to deal with that now.

So he started flooding the chat, typing one word at a time.

[Tell! Me! Where! Vilvilan! Is!]

This time, someone finally answered.

[Vivian went abroad with Professor Williams.]

[There are many senior students there, and the scenery is beautiful too. I even asked Vivian to send me lots of photos.]

Ethan stared at the messages, his eyes widening.

“No way.”

“Vivian would never go abroad. She would never leave me. She would stay here with me.”

Ethan couldn’t accept it.

He called Professor Williams again and again. He desperately wanted

to prove that none of this was true.

After calling countless times, the call finally connected.

“Vivian did go abroad with me.”

Professor Williams answered. “What?”

Ethan almost shouted.

“How did I not know? Why didn’t you tell me? Did you force Vivian to go?”

That made Professor Williams lose his temper. “You held that application in your hands.”

“You tore it up because you thought she’d never leave without your permission. Don’t you understand?”

“If anyone is responsible, it’s you!”

“Where were you when she stood alone at City Hall? Where were you when her plane took off? Where were you when she landed in a city she’d dreamed of sharing with you?”

There was a heavy silence.

“You were with Madison. Every single time.”

“You gave up your own future for Madison. Why should Vivian waste her life following the same path as you?”

“You never even bothered to see what kind of person Madison really was!”

“You… you’re unbelievable!”

Professor Williams rarely lost his temper like this.

After saying everything, he hung up immediately.

Ethan stood frozen in place.

At first, he felt devastated.

But soon, anger replaced that pain.

He called Vivian again.

But no one answered.

So he started sending her countless messages.

[Why did you leave like this without telling me?]

[Is it because I lent Madison your dress and pendant necklace without asking?]

[Is it because I went to watch the meteor shower with her?]

[Nothing happened between Madison and me!]

[We’ve been together for four years. Do you really have so little trust in me?]

[Say something, Vivian!]

[How could you just decide we were over without even telling me?]

[What about our vows? Our future?]

[You’re punishing me for being kind to someone who needed help?]

[Do you have any idea what you’ve done to me?]
