The Werewolf General Fell in Love With Me at First Sight 1001 Times Chapter 10

After thinking for a moment, I asked again.

“So how exactly did Kael get hurt?”

“Can you tell me about it?”

Even though his vital injuries had healed, thinking about how badly he’d been hurt still made me worry.

Felix’s floodgates opened immediately.

His voice was fired up.

“Elena, you have no idea how incredible Kael is!”

According to Felix, Kael had been on a routine patrol when he’d stumbled upon a group of unknown Zerg trying to ambush the Alliance.

Anyone else might’ve let them succeed.

But Kael was something else. He sent word to the Alliance right away, then charged in alone and took down a whole swarm by himself!

He wouldn’t even have gotten hurt if not for a high-ranking Zerg playing dead and attacking him from behind.

Felix said, “Luckily, the Alliance reinforcements arrived just as Kael went down. He got treatment immediately. Aside from the amnesia, he’s perfectly fine.”

“Those Zerg were vicious and well-prepared. Without the Admiral’s quick action, the Alliance would’ve had a massive breach.”

“The Supreme Commander was so impressed with the results that he promoted Kael and gave him a raise on the spot!”

I listened, utterly captivated.

My heart was pounding.

Suddenly Kael’s arm wrapped around my waist, his chin resting on my shoulder.

His voice was soft. “What are you two talking about so intently?”

I looked up at him, eyes shining.

“We were talking about the battle…”

“Baby, you’re amazing!”

Kael raised an eyebrow, a lazy laugh escaping him.

His long fingers casually took my phone and brought it to his ear.

“Thanks for praising me, Felix.”

“I appreciate your hard work.”

“Alright, I’ll take Elena on vacation. You hold down the fort.”

Without waiting for whatever excited response was coming from the other end, he hung up cleanly.

Then he lowered his head, and those silver white ears popped out instantly, brushing softly against my cheek.

“Don’t talk to anyone else, baby.”

“Let’s pick which planet we’re going to together. Okay?”

I was completely dazed.

I forgot how to say no.

All I could do was nod. “Okay, okay, whatever you say.”

Over the days we spent together, Kael’s memories came back a little at a time.

By the time we reached our last vacation planet, when Kael looked at me, I knew he’d recovered.

“Baby.”

Kael pulled me into his arms, his face full of exaggerated hurt. “You actually wanted to break the bond with me because I was too rough?”

“How could that be… you seemed to like it just fine back then.”

I was stunned.

My face went scarlet. I tried to cover Kael’s mouth.

“You… you’re talking nonsense!”

“I did not like it!”

Feeling the wet warmth in my palm, I yanked my hand back, staring at him in disbelief.

Kael held my waist, chuckling softly.

“Baby, do you know?”

“Beasts have an instinct. They can tell from a person’s reactions whether they’re pleased or scared.”

“Shifters even more so. Through your breathing, your heartbeat, your body heat, I know if you like it or not.”

My ears burned.

Flustered and embarrassed, I snapped, “…Your judgment is wrong.”

Kael looked at me and nodded, making no argument.

“Fine. It’s my fault.”

“I was wrong.”

“But… tonight, want to try the rough version again?”

He kissed the tip of my nose softly, his voice impossibly gentle. “If you don’t want to, you can still pull my tail anytime.”

“Okay?”

I didn’t answer.

I hated him.

After losing his memory, Kael had somehow evolved.

He was already wicked before, and now he was even worse.

But the thing he was suggesting…

I kind of, sort of, liked it.

I swallowed and tried to act reserved.

“Em… Fine.”

“But you have to show me your tail so I can pull it.”

I was kidding.

Even when I pulled his tail, Kael didn’t stop.

…Actually, that wasn’t entirely true.

The sly shifter popped out his ears and tail.

Whenever I said stop, he’d droop his ears and look at me with those pitiful eyes.

“Really, no?”

I couldn’t say no!

I caved instantly.

“Baby, keep going.”

And as usual, I passed out in defeat.

As I drifted into a hazy sleep, the handsome silver-eared shifter let out a low, satisfied laugh.

He bent down, scooped me up easily, and carried me into the bathroom.

In the dark, quiet room, the phone on the pillow suddenly lit up.
