Hazel didn’t spare Jonathan another glance.
She opened the car door and left without looking back.
Jonathan had no idea how he made his way back to the marking ceremony venue.
Inside the dressing room, Victoria was still wearing Hazel’s wedding dress, casually wiping the lipstick from her lips.
When she heard the door being kicked open, she looked at Jonathan’s miserable figure through the vanity mirror.
A smile that showed no surprise appeared on her lips.
Jonathan rushed forward and grabbed her by the throat.
His eyes were bloodshot, “You knew everything from the beginning, didn’t you?”
“That night, you deliberately messaged me at that exact moment because you wanted to ruin Hazel. Later, when you called me at the Royal Warrior Camp, you also did it to stop me from finding out the truth. You lied to me!”
Victoria’s face turned red from being choked. She struggled to raise the corners of her lips.
“Did I force you to hang up on her?”
“Did I force you not to read her messages?”
“Did I force you to kill the child inside her?”
“Jonathan, stop pretending to be the victim here. The person who hurt Hazel was you!”
The veins on Jonathan’s forehead bulged as he roared, “You knew how much she loved me. Why did you do this?”
Victoria broke free from his grip and raised her voice, “Because you don’t deserve Hazel!”
“I wanted her to hurt as much as possible. If she didn’t fall apart completely, she would never see through your hypocrisy. She would keep staying by your side like a fool, swallowing all her pain and lowering herself for you!”
Jonathan stared at the woman in front of him as if he was looking at a monster, “You’re insane…”
Victoria laughed loudly and wrapped her arms around Jonathan’s neck.
Her voice was filled with madness, “Jonathan, we’re the same kind of people.”
“You enjoyed Hazel’s love and admiration, while also enjoying the thrill of secretly being with me. Now Hazel is gone. She doesn’t want you anymore.”
“But I’m still here. People like us should be trapped together for the rest of our lives, torturing each other forever. Isn’t that the perfect ending?”
Jonathan violently shoved her away. Disgust filled his eyes, “Get out! The only person I have loved from the beginning until now has always been Hazel. It was her before, it is her now, and it will still be her in the future.”
“Who do you think you are? You don’t deserve a future with me.”
The calm expression on Victoria’s face finally cracked.
She covered her stomach and screamed, “I’m carrying your child!”
“The entire werewolf realm knows that we just held a marking ceremony. I’m your Luna now. Are you really going to abandon your wife and child for a woman who already left you?”
Jonathan looked at her coldly. His voice was filled with disgust.
“You know better than anyone how this wedding happened.”
“As for the child inside you, get rid of it immediately.”
After saying that, he turned around and left without looking back.
Only Victoria remained.
She was still wearing a wedding dress that never belonged to her.
Sitting among the scattered mess on the floor, she screamed hysterically.
