Vesper didn’t confess immediately. 

She insisted the hidden camera footage was just 

for attention. She said her assistant had acted 

alone. She claimed she’d been delirious in the 

hospital room. 

But evidence spoke louder than tears. 

Damon released the entire planning record of the Mate Ceremony pranks as a participant. 

He admitted I had never consented to being filmed and had never hired anyone to attack Vesper 

online. 

My parents stood in front of Pack Net’s cameras 

for the first time. They admitted those so–called jokes had gone on for ten years. 

They hadn’t been unaware of my pain. 

Every single time, they had just chosen to make Vesper happy instead. 

After the clarification went out, public opinion flipped completely. 

I hired a lawyer and filed a lawsuit against her for invasion of privacy, malicious editing, and 

fabrication of facts. 

The council court ordered her to issue a public 

apology. 

And to compensate for the damages her actions 

had caused me. 

All four hundred thousand dollars of the sponsor penalty came out of her pocket. No one paid it for 

her. 

Vesper sold her car and all her luxury goods, but 

she was still drowning in debt. 

She went crying to Damon. 

“Damon, I did all of this because I like you.” 

“Without Celine, couldn’t we just be together?” 

Damon looked at her for a long time. There was 

no love in his expression. No hatred either. 

“You’re right.” 

“Every time, it was my choice to stand by your 

side.” 

“So I can’t put all the blame on you.” 

“But that doesn’t mean I’ll let you stay in my life.” 

He had her escorted out and never saw her again. 

But punishing Vesper couldn’t bring back the lost 

pup. 

And it couldn’t restart the Mate Ceremony that 

everyone had treated as a game. 

Damon deleted the comment he’d made 

defending Vesper and pinned a statement on his 

PackNet account. 

He didn’t make excuses for himself. 

He simply wrote down exactly what had happened 

on the day of the Mate Ceremony. 

That letter of apology cost him his chance to 

become Alpha King. Even his position as Alpha 

was shaken. 

My parents urged him to delete it. 

But he shook his head. 

“Celine lost her job because of us.” 

“I can’t only take responsibility when it’s 

convenient for me.” 

That was the first time he truly understood. 

Making amends wasn’t about buying a more 

expensive gown or rebooking a Mate Ceremony. 

It was about admitting he was wrong, and paying 

the price for it. 

Unfortunately, he realized it far too late.
