My Best Friend’s Perfect Boyfriend Was My Alpha Fiancé Chapter 05

Jonathan’s heart sank.

He immediately called Julian, the pack elder. Only after Julian arrived did Jonathan finally have the time and composure to notice what had happened inside the pack house.

The Royal Warriors had to stop the arrest because there wasn’t enough evidence.

And on the cabinet by the entrance, there was nothing except Hazel’s exclusive key.

The enormous pack house had no trace of wedding decorations.

There was only an empty, suffocating silence.

Jonathan frowned deeply and kicked open every room door one by one, but he couldn’t find Hazel anywhere.

Looking at the empty house, he suddenly realized that aside from the faint trace of jasmine scent lingering in the air, there was no longer a single trace of Hazel left in this home.

Jonathan stared at the empty closet. The panic in his heart grew wildly like weeds.

“Jonathan, stop looking.”

Victoria slowly walked over and said casually, “Hazel is probably still angry about what happened before, so she’s hiding on purpose to make us anxious.”

Hearing that, the panic in Jonathan’s eyes was gradually replaced by irritation.

He called Hazel’s number and said coldly, “Hazel, even if you’re throwing a tantrum, you need to know when to stop. Today is our marking ceremony. So many people are watching…”

“Sorry, the number you are calling is currently switched off…”

The only response he received was the cold beeping tone.

Jonathan angrily smashed his phone.

“So she thinks she’s capable now? Fine. Notify the entire pack. Search every corner of Mapleford if you have to, but find her!”

Victoria let out a soft laugh.

“Why go through so much trouble? Jonathan, I know Hazel too well. If she wants to hide, no one will find her. There’s only one way to make her appear.”

Seeing Jonathan’s confused expression, Victoria pointed at the wedding dress hanging nearby and curled her lips into a smile.

“Hazel’s greatest wish in this life is to become your Luna. As long as you spread the news that the bride has been replaced, I don’t believe she’ll be able to stay calm.”

Jonathan stared at the wedding dress and remained silent for a long time.

Then he turned around and ordered, “Inform all the guests. The wedding will proceed as planned. The bride will be changed to Victoria.”

Half an hour later, the wedding cars set off again.

Only this time, the person sitting beside Jonathan was Victoria.

Jonathan stared at his motionless phone, feeling more and more restless.

The news that the bride had been replaced had already been announced. By now, it had probably spread throughout every pack.

With Hazel’s personality, she should have already run to him with tears in her eyes, demanding an explanation.

But today was too quiet. Quiet to the point of being abnormal.

Restlessly, he opened their chat history. His finger unconsciously scrolled upward.

Then suddenly, he froze.

[The temperature dropped today. Remember to wear something warmer.]

[The marking ceremony plans are ready. When do you have time to take a look?]

The endless chat history was filled with Hazel’s careful concern and hopeful messages.

His replies only appeared occasionally, each one brief and dismissive.

An indescribable guilt suddenly gripped his heart like a giant hand. Even his wolf let out a regretful growl.

Jonathan swallowed hard. His fingers trembled slightly as he typed:

[What happened a few days ago was my fault. Stop being angry. Come back now. The position of Luna is still yours.]

The message was sent. But it disappeared into silence.

In the past, Hazel always replied to him instantly.

But this time, he waited until the ceremony began and still didn’t receive a single response.

The endless fear completely consumed Jonathan.

Just as he was about to abandon everything and go find Hazel, a figure wearing a wedding dress appeared at the other end of the altar.
