Faked Amnesia, Real Luna Revenge Chapter 09

It was a weekday, so the dessert shop was nearly empty.

The moment I walked in, I spotted the woman sitting in a booth by the glass wall.

Sansa took a report out of her bag and placed it in front of me. She said, “Miss Welch, I’m pregnant.”

The moment I heard the word pregnant, my mind went completely blank.

“It’s Joey’s child.”

She set her juice down, lowered her head, and gently touched her flat stomach. Then she looked up, her expression a mix of pride and forced sincerity.

“Miss Welch, could you please let me have this? A pup can’t grow up without a father. I don’t want my child to be born as an illegitimate one. Just think of it as doing something kind.”

I picked up the glass in front of me and splashed the water straight at her.

“Why should I let you have anything?”

Sansa bit her lip. Her eyes turned red as she stared at me with hatred. Then she curled her lips into a vicious smile.

“Do you know what he said about you? He told me he’s completely lost interest. He said even if you threw yourself at him, he wouldn’t feel a thing. Being with you, he can already see his whole future, and it suffocates him. He says it’s unbearably dull.”

“If I were you, I’d leave while I still had some looks left. Maybe you could still find another man.”

I thought I had already been completely disappointed in Joey. But hearing those words still tore at my heart uncontrollably.

So this was how he saw me now. Someone who could no longer stir even the slightest desire in him.

I gently placed the glass down. My emotions were in turmoil, but my expression remained calm.

“End the mate bond? Then have him come talk to me himself. He’s the one who cheated. As long as he’s willing to give me a larger share of the assets, I’m not unreasonable.”

The moment she heard “assets,” Sansa’s expression darkened.

Just then, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a man rushing in. The arrogance and provocation in her gaze instantly disappeared, replaced by a fragile, pitiful look.

“Miss Welch, I know I hurt you, and I’m really sorry. But the pup is innocent. It’s a life. I really can’t bear to get rid of it. You and Alpha don’t have children yet. As long as you’re willing to adopt this child, you’ll be his mother.”

“I promise I’ll leave. I won’t see Alpha again. I’m begging you, please.”

She stood up from the booth and lowered herself to the floor.

“I don’t want anything. All the expensive gifts Joey gave me, I know they’re shared property between you and him. I can give them back. I just want to keep this child.”

“What are you doing?”

Joey shouted angrily as he rushed over and pulled Sansa up.

I lifted my head and met his dark expression. Against my pale neck, the marks scattered across my skin were impossible to miss, trailing down beneath my clothes.

I did it on purpose. Sansa had chosen a perfect angle.

Joey’s irritated gaze froze when it landed on those marks, his brows knitting together. I caught that reaction clearly.

At that moment, I noticed Declan walking in. I stood up immediately and went to him.

“Honey.”

The word made Joey’s heart tighten abruptly.

He reminded himself that he was supposed to be “amnesiac,” but before he could say anything cold, I had already thrown myself into Declan’s arms, pounding his chest as I shouted.

“Honey, she says she’s pregnant with your baby. You cheated on me.”

Declan lifted his eyes and glanced at the two people beside me. He understood instantly and patted my back.

“That child isn’t mine.”

“But she showed me the report. It’s already been two months.”

I angrily grabbed the report from the table and handed it to him.

Declan glanced at it casually, then looked up at Joey with a half smile. “Congratulations, bro. You’re going to be a father.”

Joey froze for a second before snapping back. “Misty, who are you calling honey?”

I turned to look at him, confused and distant. “Of course I’m calling my mate.”

“Your mate?”
