On Graduation Day, He Pushed Me Aside For Her Chapter 05

Not long after I recalled that he booked a trip plan for a couple to cheer me on before SAT. He’d promised to take me traveling once it was over.

The scheduled first day of trip was none other than today.

Gloria bit her lip, forced a smile and stepped half way back. “Since Ivy’s here, I’d better skip this.”

Patrick frowned at once and pulled her firmly to his side. “Too late. You spent days getting ready for this trip. You’re definitely going.”

I laughed to my self because he felt sorry for all the time Gloria had spent preparing, not the trip plan I organized for nights after the SAT.

I was about to say I was done, but Patrick had already walked away to get the boarding pass.

Only Gloria and I were left alone, and she spoke up out of the blue.

“Ivy Anderson, you are wasting your time going after someone who is not meant for you. He needs someone who can stand side by side with him, not someone who falls short of him in every way.”

She wore a faint smile. “The night right after SAT, I asked him if he would have sex with me. And guess what he said about the bed?”

Cleching my fists though, I answered in clam. “If you want him so bad, you can have him.”

Gloria turned awkward hearing this and bit her lips tightly.

Patrick ran back holding a boarding pass and held it out to me. “The

only seat left is around the engine. Gloria can’t stand noise, so you take this.” He remembered something and added. “It’ll do you good staying awake during your flight or you’ll look embarrassing.”

With that, he checked the time and hastily tugged her to the boarding gate. “That’s it. We’ll wait for you over there with Gloria!” She flashed me a triumphant grin over her shoulder.

As for the boarding pass, he hadn’t even noticed it was not with my name on.

I crumpled and tossed it into a trash can before I boarded my actual flight.

After my trip of healing, I came back to pick up my letter of acceptance when Patrick Muller blocked my way home downstairs.

He was furious as he reached out and clamped a tight grip around my wrist.

“Where’s Gloria’s letter of acceptance?”

His grip hurt. “What letter?”

A cold voice follows as, “you know it. Gloria’s letter was delivered to my place, and the mailman said someone picked it up on her behalf.”

“You’ve been staying home these days! If it wasn’t you, then who was it? Take your anger out on me if you’re upset—what kind of coward bullies a girl instead?”

I stared at him in utter disbelief. Gloria stepped out from behind, her eyes red and swollen.

“I can apologize if me and Patrick staying close really bothers you. I

can promise I’ll cut off all contact with him from now on.” She said.

She looked at me with a trembling, tear-choked voice. “But I need that letter! It means a lot to me because I obtain the chance to go to Harvard with too much of hard work!”

I got raged too. “I didn’t take it!” “I’m home today!”

Patrick blocked my words as his gaze landed on the delivery bag tucked in my arms, and he snatched it away in one swift motion.

My face paled instantly, and I lunged to grab it back. “Give that back, Patrick!”

He held the bag high above his head, staring coldly at my tear-blazing eyes. “I’ll count to three.” “Hand over Gloria’s letter, or I’ll tear yours up right now!”

I tried desperately to explain myself:
