On Graduation Day, He Pushed Me Aside For Her Chapter 10
I said nothing.
He hurried to keep explaining himself. “It was my fault for failing to clarify. That’s why you got hurt, and Gloria got dragged into this mess too.”
“But don’t hold it against her. She’s always wanted to be friends with you.”
“Remember when she offered to tutor you? You just stopped attending our group. She felt terrible about it for ages.”
I was entertained. Even at this point, he was still making excuses for Gloria.
Just then, my roommate stormed over in a fury. “Ivy, I found the truth!”
Her face darkened the moment she spotted Patrick Muller. She shoved her phone straight in front of his face. “Now that you’re here. Take a good look at your first love in school.”
The screen displayed the profile page of the rumor mill. My roommate pulled up its history of pictures. One photo featured a long-haired white cat—the pet belonging to Gloria’s family. She had never posted this photo publicly anywhere online.
Patrick looked differently. “It might just be a coincidence.”
My roommate pulled up more screenshots: location check-ins the account had liked, plus an incompletely deleted post showing a small corner of Gloria’s notebook.

Patrick Muller fell completely silent, his face draining pale.
I fixed my gaze on him and spoke. “You never knew this, Patrick. The day you went to get that boarding pass, Gloria told me I was wasting time going after someone who is not meant for me.”
“She said you needed a partner who could stay by your side instead of me who would only drag you down. She even pressured me to step back voluntarily.”
His lips twitched awkwardly, his face twisting with embarrassment and remorse.
I went on. “And it was her who planted the idea that I’d stolen her admission letter when you came demanding it from me, wasn’t it? You believed the accusation without a second thought.”
He lapsed into total silence.
Staring at him, I felt exhaustion from all of this. “See it now? You never once chose to trust me, but took her word like a law.”
His eyes turned red, and he reached out to grab my hand. I dodged his touch.
“Patrick. You may leave now.”
In the end, Patrick headed back to Boston.
The online debate kept escalating and revealed Gloria outright. He submitted all evidence proving she had operated a secret alternate account to orchestrate online harassment against me to their university administration.
Gloria didn’t remain silent. She confronted Patrick in tears right

outside the classroom, drawing a large crowd. My gals in Boston said their argument turned ugly and vicious.
Sobbing, Gloria demanded answers from him. “What does Ivy Anderson have that I don’t? She was left behind in everything—grades, future, even the appearance beside me.”
“Why does she get your love when she has nothing outstanding? I am the best in every field. I have right to have the best boyfriend.”
Patrick stayed quiet for a long while before uttering a single line. “She has never deliberately set out to hurt others the way you did.”
Gloria broke down and snapped back at him. “You’re saying I’m the one to blame? But you seem to enjoy her attention, my position around, and making her like a fool. That means you are also a bully!”
Those words froze Patrick Muller where he stood.
Eventually, they brought each other to the Harvard peer dispute and were relieved.
