The Werewolf General Fell in Love With Me at First Sight 1001 Times Chapter 06

After a moment’s hesitation, I still sent my reply.

[Just call me Ms. Hart from now on, or Elena’s fine. Kael and I are breaking up soon, after all.]

[And that’s true, I did meet a cat shifter today.]

[Honestly… even though being with Kael was fun, after we break up, I want to try something different.]

[Someone gentler. More obedient.]

[I don’t think I want to go for another guy like Kael.]

The other side didn’t reply for a long time. The typing indicator kept popping up.

Finally, Felix wrote back: […Can I call you?]

Of course I wouldn’t say no.

Even though he was Kael’s Beta, he’d helped me a lot over these past few years of our bond. I’d come to see Felix as a friend.

I agreed, and Felix called right away, his voice trembling.

“Elena…”

“What do you mean, you don’t want another guy like Kael?”

Felix’s background sounded chaotic. I wasn’t sure if he was watching TV, but there was a man’s muffled sobbing in the background.

I paused and asked, “It’s a little noisy over there. Is someone crying?”

“No, it’s just the kettle.”

I felt a bit baffled. Okay, maybe it was some old-fashioned kettle that whistled when it boiled…

Felix stood up and paced a few steps, speaking frantically.

“Forget it. Elena, why don’t you want another guy like Kael?”

“He was a pure, innocent virgin when he got with you, and now you’re tossing him aside after wearing him out… You’re basically…”

Felix struggled, “…basically a wicked woman who plays with innocent virgins.”

I was totally confused.

Hearing that, I immediately got pissed.

“What the hell! Felix, is there someone there with you?”

Felix hesitated. “…No. I mean… no!”

I rolled up my sleeves and snapped at him.

“Wicked woman who plays with virgins? That’s total bullshit! You don’t know that Kael’s a total animal!”

“During the day he acts all proper, but at night he goes feral and loses all control. No matter how much I tell him to stop, he doesn’t listen! Tell me. If I want out, isn’t that his fault?”

Felix fell silent.

Felix said painfully, “Well, Admiral Kael is a rare S-Class wolf shifter, some canine species. They tend to be, uh, very devoted to their

mates.”

I scoffed. “Right, a wolf shifter. He’s a pure wolf pup. I tell him not to bite, but his teeth marks always end up deeper than anyone’s. What is he doing, marking territory?”

“Does he think I’m a shifter too? Human bodies are fragile. Doesn’t he know that? I spend every night terrified I’m going to die in bed. And if I actually kicked the bucket like that, how embarrassing would that be?! Tell me. Isn’t that embarrassing!”

Felix fell silent again.

Then he said, “But Admiral Kael said he does pay attention. He said that wouldn’t happen…”

I didn’t care what Felix said.

When I was on a roll ranting, I wouldn’t stop for anything.

I kept going full steam. “So I want someone sweet and obedient. Is that wrong?”

“I hadn’t even thought about breaking the bond before, but since Kael brought it up, fine, let’s end it! And right after, I’ll go find a gentle one!”

Suddenly, someone burst into crying from the other end of the line.

My rant was cut short. I asked blankly, “Felix, did your kettle go off again?”

Felix didn’t answer.

Felix sounded totally flustered.

“Yes, sorry Elena, my kettle seems to be broken… I’ll get back to you later.”

With that, he hung up in a hurry.

I held my phone and blinked. Then I thoughtfully sent Felix “Three Ways to Fix a Faulty Kettle.”

And went right back to browsing cat shifters online.

Their pink little paw pads were so cute!
