The Werewolf General Fell in Love With Me at First Sight 1001 Times Chapter 07

In the following days, Felix didn’t contact me again.

He didn’t even reply to my messages.

The only thing that kept coming were relentless transfer notifications from my bank account.

I watched the money pile up and finally couldn’t sit still anymore.

I called Felix.

“Um, why hasn’t Kael scheduled the dissolution yet?”

“Did he get paid again? Or is it a bonus? Either way, it’s a lot of money. If we don’t break the bond soon, he’ll have to split it with me, right? Wouldn’t it be better for him to get it over with?”

Felix cleared his throat twice.

“Ahem. Ms. Hart, don’t worry about the money. To Admiral Kael, that’s just pocket change.”

“But the Admiral… he, he suddenly went into rut!”

I was confused.

“Rut? Just like that?”

Felix sounded like he had a cold.

He coughed several times before he could speak again, his voice raspy. “Who would have thought? It happened so suddenly!”

“What do we do, Ms. Hart? What do we do!”

What was I supposed to do?

I wasn’t a doctor.

I thought for a moment, then asked weakly, “…Suppressants?”

Felix was quiet for a second, then said mournfully, “Suppressants would’ve worked.”

“But the Admiral, he—he—”

My heart clenched. “What happened to Kael?”

Felix struggled to get the words out. “The Admiral… he injured his head last time. The doctors said… if he uses suppressants again, there’s a chance he could become brain dead.”

I was stunned. “That serious?”

Felix sniffled.

“Yeah… the Admiral’s so pitiful…”

“Ms. Hart, what are we going to do?”

I really didn’t know.

If suppressants were out of the question…

It looked like there was only one option left.

As a shifter’s mate, helping him through rut was part of the bond duty.

But shifters in rut were notoriously terrifying.

I was genuinely afraid I couldn’t stand it… and if I actually died that way, how mortifying would that be? I’d never rest in peace.

I hesitated. “So… how’s Kael doing right now?”

“Is he being quiet?”

“Yeah!” Felix said without a second’s pause. “Ms. Hart, if you’re worried, I can even tie him up for you.”

“Do you need that?”

…Kael, tied up.

I’d never seen that before.

My curiosity prickled.

I nodded and whispered, “Yes.”

“Yes!”

When Kael’s rut hit, he usually went back to the pack house.

The place was filled with memories and scents from his childhood, which helped calm a shifter in heat.

I followed the familiar route to Kael’s room.

When I opened the door, my heart started pounding.

…Felix said Kael was being gentle now.

He wasn’t lying.

Maybe because of his injury, Kael looked weak and listless, slumped

against the headboard.

He had broad shoulders and a narrow waist.

His pale wrists were cuffed in silver handcuffs.

His eyes were wet as they looked at me.

He wasn’t that fierce wolf at all!

He was just an obedient little puppy.

I swallowed hard.

Okay, I’d seen enough fierce ones. I definitely preferred the gentle type.

I walked toward him slowly, reaching out a tentative finger to poke at his chest.

Firm, full, big and soft.

The texture was amazing.

After one touch, I immediately backed away, watching him warily.

In the past, every time I couldn’t resist touching Kael’s arm, he’d grab me right back and “touch” me thoroughly.

But now, Kael stayed put.

His breathing was just a little heavier.

Nothing?

My courage grew.

I crept closer and gave him another solid squeeze.

When he still didn’t react, I got bolder. I began kissing, groping, even burying my face in his chest and giggling.

“Wow, such big pecs…”
