The Werewolf General Fell in Love With Me at First Sight 1001 Times Chapter 08

Kael’s body started heating up.

His muscles trembled slightly, and his voice came out hoarse and dazed.

“My mate…?”

I lifted my head impatiently.

I clicked my tongue, raised my hand, and lightly smacked his pec.

“Did I say you could talk?”

“Just listen to me, got it?”

Kael looked completely dazed. His ears went red.

Even his shifter ears and tail popped out, trembling faintly in the air.

“I… I got it…”

“Baby…”

…Ears!

My eyes lit up instantly.

Those silver gray wolf ears were right there—soft, harmless, and fully on display, their beautiful silver white fluff twitching every now and then.

I wanted to squish them so bad!

I straddled his waist, swallowed, and coaxed softly, “Baby, can I

squish your ears?”

Kael’s body was so hot it could’ve melted ice.

He looked like he was about to cry from the strain.

“Yes, yes.”

“Baby… just, touch me already.”

The night passed.

I felt refreshed.

Kael had been so incredibly obedient last night.

Whenever he acted up a little, I’d just tug his tail, and he’d behave instantly.

My body was sore, but it had already been cleaned up.

I blinked awake groggily, still half asleep, rolled over, and buried my face in the warm body next to me.

“Baby, I want to touch your ears.”

“And your tail. I want to touch it too.”

After petting fur for a while…

Oh, there was nothing there.

I suddenly snapped back to reality.

I slowly lifted my head.

My fingers retreated awkwardly.

“…Mr. Kael.”

“Your rut’s over?”

Kael was lying beside me, his pale upper body covered in marks.

He looked down at me, his lips pressed together.

In the strange silence, I slowly sat up and tried to crawl out of bed.
“Well, since you’re better now, I’ll be going now.”

“Where are you going?”

The man behind me spoke suddenly, his voice restrained and lonely.
“To meet with that little kitty?”

I said nothing.

I gave an awkward laugh. “No, not at all.”

Kael, pale-faced, weakly pulled the blanket up to cover himself, trying
to hide the marks on his body. His expression was bleak.

“I knew it. You’d leave as soon as you woke up.”

“After all, compared to those cat shifters and rabbit shifters, my ears…
are just too big.”

I still said nothing.

Something felt off.

He was definitely not just talking about his ears!

But I couldn’t put my finger on it, so I stammered out comfort. “No,
your ears are so soft and pretty. I really like them.”

Kael’s eyes seemed to brighten for a second.

“Really?”

But they dimmed again quickly.

“And my paw pads… they’re black, not pink.”

“They must not look good at all.”

“Not at all!” I shot back immediately. “Black paw pads are adorable too! Whether it’s pink or black, they have their own charm. You can’t compare them with each other.”

“Really?”

Kael looked down pitifully, his voice soft and fragile.

“But yesterday, after you coaxed me into showing you my paw pads, the first thing you said was…”

“Why aren’t they pink?”

I choked.

God, was I really that awful?
